This hospital is over 1.2 million square feet and is spread across a vast campus and is Salt Lake City’s newest, most state-of-the-art hospital. This landmark medical facility is owned and operated by Intermountain Health Care (IHC), the largest provider of health services in the State. The main tower is constructed of an eight thousand cubic yard concrete mat footing under seventeen stories of seismically engineered structural steel with members as heavy as 1,050 lbs. The construction of this facility replaced several other medical centers throughout the entire Valley and has come to be recognized as one of the premier medical facilities in Utah.
- Provided continuous inspections of the mat foundation system as well as all other structural concrete materials testing and reinforcing inspections.
- Provided full time inspections and non-destructive testing for the structural steel erection process.
- Inspected all of the ceiling tile wire anchoring systems.
- Provided inspections for the EIFS installation.
